About our Facilitator: Oluwaseun Olaseinde Olubodun

Tonight’s facilitator: Oluwaseun Olaseinde, multiple award-winning researcher and Mandela Washington Fellow 2016.
Oluwaseun Olaseinde has over six years of experience in water-quality, water, and waste-water management in Nigeria. She worked in the Research and Development unit of the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment, where she was part of the team that carried out monitoring of the state’s surface water at that time. She also joined like-minded young people to inaugurate the Nigerian Young Water Professionals group. She is currently interested in the utilization of waste-water sludge to generate bioelectricity through the use of microorganisms. Oluwaseun is currently a PhD student in the Department of Microbiology, University of Ibadan. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, she hopes to bring a sustainable energy and water quality solution to her community and country. (Culled from: irex dot org)
